RHINOPLASTY

Rhinoplasty surgery or surgery to reshape the nose is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems.  For people with functional nasal problems such as blocked nasal passages, chronic congestion, enlarged turbinates and chronic sinus conditions, we can correct these problems at the same time with a combination of techniques depending on the individual anatomy. We can combine nasal surgery with chin augmentation or even other procedures to create a natural, balanced look.

Ethnic rhinoplasty

Ethnic rhinoplasty is a specialty unto itself.  Patients from diverse backgrounds have unique anatomy that requires a different approach than for patients with typical Caucasian features.  These types of surgery require experience to provide the type of results that are satisfactory in this patient group.  Dr. Kerner has extensive experience in performing nasal surgery on Asian, African, and Hispanic patients.
